This week we are taking a break from HelloFresh, but here's a meal I didn't blog about last week--HelloFresh cashew chicken. I was pretty excited about this one, since Cashew Chicken is something I typically like to order at Chinese restaurants. Chinese food is normally one of my favorite types of cuisine. Bonus was that this was a HelloFresh meal in their "lower calorie" category.
I feel like a broken record this week, but this is another HelloFresh meal in the "meh" category. OK, but not great. My kids didn't care for it, and even my non-picky husband was just so-so on it. In fact, we had leftovers that sat in the container and had to be thrown out. No one wanted seconds.
The sauce may have been what did it for me--it was a little too salty and not outstanding. But, on a positive note, the prep for this meal was easy and the entire meal didn't take long to pull together. It was completely edible, just sort of blah. Sorry, HelloFresh...
Would I order this one again? I say probably not, but the rest of my family was a resounding "no." But, I am optimistic that we will have better luck with our next round of meals!
